چکیده

This paper examines the application of human computation (HC) to twodimensional image pattern matching. The two main goals of our algorithm are to use turks as the processing units to perform an efficient pattern match attempt on a subsection of an image, and to divide the work using a version of dead-zone based pattern matching. In this approach, human computation presents an alternative to machine learning by outsourcing computationally difficult work to humans, while the dead-zone search offers an efficient search paradigm open to parallelization—making the combination a powerful approach for searching for patterns in two-dimensional images.

Adaptive Approximation-Based Control for Uncertain Nonlinear Systems With Unknown Dead-Zone Using Minimal Learning Parameter Algorithm

This paper proposes an adaptive approximation-based controller for uncertain strict-feedback nonlinear systems with unknown dead-zone nonlinearity. Dead-zone constraint is represented as a combination of a linear system with a disturbance-like term. This work invokes neural networks (NNs) as a linear-in-parameter approximator to model uncertain nonlinear functions that appear in virtual and act...

Using Correctness-by-Construction to Derive Dead-zone Algorithms

We give a derivation, in the form of a stepwise (refinement-oriented) presentation, of a family of algorithms for single keyword pattern matching, all based on the so-called dead-zone algorithm-style, in which input text parts are tracked as either unprocessed (‘live’), or processed (‘dead’). Such algorithms allow for Boyer-Moore-style shifting in the input in two directions (left and right) in...

Evaluation of Similarity Measures for Template Matching

Image matching is a critical process in various photogrammetry, computer vision and remote sensing applications such as image registration, 3D model reconstruction, change detection, image fusion, pattern recognition, autonomous navigation, and digital elevation model (DEM) generation and orientation. The primary goal of the image matching process is to establish the correspondence between two ...

مدلسازی عددی حوضچه های بنادر رودخانه‌ای و بررسی تاثیر رژیم جریان بر گردابه‌های افقی

Using dead zones of rivers for berthing purpose may involve some problems of which the most serious are sedimentation and silting. These processes depend on water flow pattern in these zones. In this paper, a two dimensional depth averaged model is explained for flow modeling in river dead zones. Governing equations of fluid flow are discretised using the “Control Volume” method and...

2D-3D face matching using CCA

In recent years, 3D face recognition has obtained much attention. Using 2D face image as probe and 3D face data as gallery is an alternative method to deal with computation complexity, expensive equipment and fussy pretreatment in 3D face recognition systems. In this paper we propose a learning based 2D-3D face matching method using the CCA to learn the mapping between 2D face image and 3D face...
